I switched from Oak Ridge OB-GYN Associates to Lisa Ross Birthing Center. April 1st was my first appointment. I absolutely love it. Bryan and I took a tour a few weeks before and I got to see the birthing suites. The rooms look like cozy bedrooms. There's no harsh hospital "vibe". The staff members were friendly and very informative. I wish I had started my prenatal care there. After just one appointment I realize how badly the other place was lacking. I'm not just another patient. I'm a new mom. The nurse midwife took the time to really talk to me and she gave me a wealth of information. I can't wait to meet the rest of the midwives at Lisa Ross!
Goodbye giraffes...hello 100 Acre Wood. I couldn't resist. I was hit with Pooh fever...Tigger-itis...Eeyore....well you get the point. I returned the Snickerdoodle nursery bedding and accessories and replaced it with Pooh EVERYTHING! I still don't know what came over me but I know I'm going to have a lot of fun decorating the nursery. Maybe once the wee one is here i'll feel up to painting some trees and clouds on the walls.
In other news, at 28 weeks and 2 days my belly bump measures 31 inches. I measured 43 inches around (from navel to back and back to navel) at 28 weeks. The cravings have become quesadillas, Cherry Garcia, and anything that is cinnamon-ey and gooey....oh and mini powdered doughnuts. I've also been going crazy over sweet potato fries/chips. It's a good thing I'm still craving fruit and veggies otherwise my hips would be waving the white flag. My back is killing me at this point and I'm pretty sure "little bit" is laying on my lungs. Mr. New Daddy is making progress on the nursery. I'm preparing for my baby shower and maternity photos on May 7th. My little man is growing and kicking away just like he should be. I am so very blessed by God.
I love my McDaniel men!
